- Curiot (Flavio Martínez)
Curiot comes all the way from Michoacán; he is one of Mexico’s most relevant artists in the current urban art scene.
Through colorful and elaborate detail, Curiot shows an imaginary full of ancient cultures that worshipped gods associated with natural phenomena and the divinity they represent. Their characters take us to imaginary and bucolic worlds, where the conflict between nature and the human being is an ongoing struggle.
After a long week working at height, the Mexican artist created a surprising scene in which we sense a shamanic medical consultation. In this psychotropic waiting room, doctor and patient wait to meet to try to cure those diseases typical of this world of stress and geolocations. Diseases still to be diagnosed and solutions waiting to be found.
Perhaps the most common solution to our problems today is a return to our ancestors’ ancient wisdom, leaving behind conventional medicine in favour of traditional healers.
