Untitled 1 – Curiot
- Curiot (Flavio Martínez)
Mexico’s Curiot, upon completion of the Gardenia Street large mural on one of the Pazo da Cultura’ s side, surprised us with this small composition that fills with color a wall especially striking because of its derelict state.
In the only remaining stone wall of an old ground floor house that now encloses a plot of land, in fragments of different sizes that still preserve cement, Curiot represents what could be a beach seen by an Aztec, with a palm tree, the sun over the sea and other geometric figures of clear Mexican aesthetics. The colorful detail that invades the entire flat surface of this wall is in contrast with its derelict state and it brightens up this street.
