The first “Derrubando Muros con Pintura” mural was created in the autumn of 2013 by the project coordinators: Paula Fraile and Roberta Venazi.
They wanted to achieve something the town could be identified with; something not aggressive that people could feel as their own. This is why they decided to start by working in peripheral neighbourhoods rather than the town centre.
The mural on Rúa do Sol represents local vegetation and has an oak leaf at its center. This colourful and positive mural is what visitors reaching the town from Compostela, Fisterra and Ordes first see.
It is on the corner of Rúa do Sol and Vila de Negreira.
