Joseba Muruzábal, aka Yoseba MP, was born in Cambre (A Coruña) and based in Santiago de Compostela, is one of the greatest examples of contemporary painting in Galicia. A Fine Arts graduate, his work has a clear realistic style, sometimes linked to surrealism, where he shows everyday scenes, through a very suggestive brushstroke and a strong photographic influence. His work has been awarded and selected for different visual arts festivals.
Yoseba brings to Carballo his series of murals called ‘Fenómenos do rural’ where ordinary grandmothers become superheroines with superhuman powers, thus paying homage to women and their vital role in our society.
