Pixel Pancho - Imaxe de perfil

Tooltip Text Italia (Turín)

This Italian artist is one of the most popular and active urban artists on the Italian scene at an international level, with large murals scattered throughout a number of cities in Europe, the United States and Mexico. He began his training in Fine Arts in Italy and then finished his studies in Valencia (Spain), although his passion for art came to him as a child through his grandfather, an amateur painter, who taught him everything he knew about colours, forms and the meaning of art.

His work (murals, paintings and sculptures) is a structure of interconnected stories that have a surrealist world inhabited by rotting robots as common thread. Pixel Pancho’s steel and copper humanised bodies, full of physical and gestural analogies, are filled with rust and repeatedly fall into a loop of oblivion. Through historical and contemporary references, his compositions acquire a metaphorical sense that teleports us to our time-space. Pixel usually uses earthy colours with the aim of conveying the effect of an old image.

He participated in the Rexenera Fest of 2015, creating “o mural dos porcos” on 67, Gran Vía Street .
